How we choose, check and correct numbers.

World Numbers is published by Seven Seas Capital LLC. The publisher is responsible for the site’s data selection, calculations, explanations and corrections.

Source selection

We prefer the organization that produces or administers the underlying data. When a primary record is unavailable or a board relies on a third-party provider, we identify that provider and explain material limits. A source is not automatically authoritative for every interpretation made from its data.

We do not fill gaps with invented values. Where coverage is incomplete, preliminary or based on an older vintage, the page should say so. If an observation cannot be traced to its source and reporting period, we do not present it as verified.

Estimates and visual presentation

We label our own calculations as estimates and publish the source, formula, time window and limitations alongside them. A counter’s animation, illustration or visual scale is not proof of real-time activity. We avoid implying that money, jobs, flights or other events are individually observed when the display is an extrapolation.

Selection, rankings and conflicts

Ranking criteria and coverage should be stated on the relevant board. Paid placement cannot buy inclusion, a higher rank, a changed estimate or a favorable conclusion. Advertising is kept separate from editorial content. Any future sponsored or affiliate material must be clearly identified and cannot determine data values or editorial judgments.

Corrections and revisions

We correct errors in transcription, calculation, labels or explanations when identified. A correction should update the affected page and, where applicable, its audit record; material changes should identify what changed and why. When an agency revises a source series, we distinguish the new data vintage from our own page review and retrieval dates. If we cannot validate a disputed value, we should mark it as under review or remove the unsupported claim until it is checked.

Material published changes are recorded in our updates and corrections log. Each entry distinguishes when we published the change from the source’s reporting period and release date. Source links and downloadable audit records allow readers to inspect the underlying evidence.

Use of images and third-party material

Illustrations provide context and are not documentation of real transactions or events. Third-party material is attributed where required. Source links take readers to the provider’s own material and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

Commercial boundaries

World Numbers may display third-party ads. Ads do not control editorial choices. The site does not present paid placements as source records or independent analysis. If the publisher adds a sponsorship or affiliate relationship, it will be labeled on the relevant page.
